How roomXplore works

Where our availability comes from, what our badges mean, and how listings are ordered — in plain words.

From an owner's records to your search

  1. Step 1

    An owner lists a property

Owners publish their PG on roomXplore with its sharing types, rent, deposit, amenities, house rules and photos. Owners who already run their PG on TrackMyPG can connect it, so the listing is built from their operational records.

  2. Step 2

    Availability follows the records

For a TrackMyPG-managed property with live availability, free beds are worked out from its rooms and tenants. When a tenant checks in, serves notice or moves out, the listing is re-synced automatically — usually within a minute. Other listings show the counts the owner declares and updates.

  3. Step 3

    Seekers search and compare

Every listing shows its rent per bed, deposit, sharing types and when it was last updated. Search pages list real, published properties only; a page with nothing to show asks search engines not to index it.

  4. Step 4

Enquiries go straight to the owner

An enquiry reaches the property's owner directly. roomXplore does not sit between seeker and owner, and does not take a commission on the stay.

What the labels on a listing mean

Verified by TrackMyPG
The property is run on TrackMyPG — its rooms, beds and tenants are managed there by an owner with an active TrackMyPG plan that includes the badge — so the listing is generated from real operational records. It is not a physical inspection or a background check of the owner.
Available now / Few beds left
At least one bed is free in that sharing type right now. “Few beds left” means two or fewer. For a TrackMyPG-managed property with live availability this comes from tenant records; otherwise from the owner's declared count.
Opening soon
No bed is free today, but one is expected to free up on a known date — for example a tenant who has served notice. The date is shown where it is known.
Updated … ago
When the listing was last synced from its source. A recent time means the availability you see reflects the latest records.
Boosted
The owner has used a paid boost. Boosted and featured listings can appear higher in roomXplore's default order, and are labelled so you can tell. Paid placement never decides whether a listing is shown, and never changes its rent, availability or any other fact on the page.

Who runs roomXplore

roomXplore is an online marketplace operated by BuildsInfinity Technologies, the company behind TrackMyPG. It lists independent PGs, hostels and co-living spaces; each property is run by its own owner. roomXplore has no physical offices in the cities it lists. Read more about roomXplore or contact us.
